Los Angeles, CA (
PRWEB) June 22, 2006 -- To assist member
airlines in retaining one of the most valued employee privileges,
RAA and ID90 Technologies (ID90T) hosted a one day workshop
at RAA’s headquarters’ in Washington D.C. on
Tuesday May 16th.
The workshop offered some 25 attendees,
from both RAA and non-member airlines, the opportunity
to learn about
ID90T’s cost-effective, automated and uniform solutions
created to preserve and expand today's offline employee
travel benefits, as IATA's requirement of 100% electronic
ticketing nears the December 31, 2007 deadline.
With numerous
RAA members indicating that their companies do not have
the expertise or resources to develop the technology
to make e-ticketing a reality for employee travel, all
attendees where excited to learn about ID90T’s
Universal Electronic Ticketing Platform.
ID90T’s Web based platform
has been developed to fulfill the process of employment
verification, travel
planning, pricing, issuing and refunding electronic tickets,
making space available flight listings and billing and
settlement.
If airlines don’t comply with the 2008 100% e-ticketing
deadline, they risk losing all their off-line travel privileges.
As Deborah Mc Elroy, RAA President says; “70% rated
pass travel benefits as very important…especially
important when recruiting new employees.”
With the number of off-line Interline agreements averaging
30 at each regional airline, the costs of making individual
connections to each transporting airlines’ reservation
system is enormous and financially unfeasible. “With
the ID90T Platform there are no development costs and each
airline only needs to make one connection to access all
the world’s airlines. Now airlines can maintain their
Interline agreements and possibly establish new agreements,” explains
Tristan Schukraft, Managing Director of ID90T.
The Regional
Airline Association represents U.S. regional airlines,
and the manufacturers of products and services
that support the industry, before the Congress, DOT, FAA,
DHS, TSA and other federal agencies. Founded in 1975, RAA
also provides a wide array of technical, educational and
promotional services to regional airlines. The association's
member airlines transport 97 percent of total regional
airline industry passengers.
ID90 Technologies (ID90T),
an affiliate of ID90.COM established in 2000, provides
Interline e-ticketing solutions for airline
employee travel, via its Web based Electronic Ticketing
Platform. All of ID90T’s e-ticketing solutions
are available with no development costs, are fully customizable
and are maintenance free, allowing airlines to maintain
and expand their offline employee travel benefits, now
and in the future. 558 days to 100% e-ticketing! Are
